Why we chose it

Some furniture simply occupies space.
Others quietly shape it.

We chose the KAI Highback for its rare ability to create a sense of privacy without adding visual weight. Its generous 132 cm backrest gently frames the person sitting inside, creating an intimate corner within the room.

Despite its sculptural presence, it remains surprisingly lightweight, making it easy to move and adapt to changing spaces.

Materials & Craftsmanship

A solid wood frame gives KAI its structure and stability, with the rope woven around it by hand.

The rope is made from solution-dyed acrylic, meaning the colour is integrated into the fibre itself rather than applied to the surface. This helps it resist fading in the sun and prevents the colour from peeling over time.

That durability is also what allows KAI to live comfortably on a balcony or covered outdoor space, not only in the living room.
